Partecipation @ European Biosensors Symposium (Florence, 18-21 Feb 2019)

Conferences, News
NeuroSens was present at the 2nd European Biosensor Symposium. This conference aims to stimulate exchanges among researchers working in Europe, or outside Europe, in the field of Biosensors. Here, young researchers presented their recent results from the front end of research, while keynotes speakers showed high-end research and traced the directions of current trends. The Symposium key topics areTechnologies for innovative formats: miniaturized, implantable, non-invasive, disposable, single/multiarray biosensors, paper-diagnosticsBioengineered and biomimetic recognition elements (MIPs, aptamers, receptors, modified enzymes with increasing catalytic activity, sensor-actuator-molecules etc.)Nanotechnology, surface engineering and bioelectronics (Single-Molecule and molecular sensors, nanoparticles and nanostructures enhancing biosensor performance etc.)Cell biosensors: Sensors with cells (Pharma testing, cell toxicity, REACH); in the cell („Pebbels“, indicators, „biosensing“); for cell research and single cell based diagnostics (Patch-Clamp and electrodes, sensors for regenerative therapies)Advances in applications…

A novel (bio)sensor has been patented by NeuroSens!!!!

News, Pubblications
We recently filed a patent for a "Sensing device based on acoustic-waves for fluids analysis". With this device, we will pursue the Technology Transfer route of our results. We are really proud of this achievement! We strongly believe that the application of our results to the every-day life and the benefits for the society that we hope could originate from it are fundamental aspects of our work.

Dr. Ilaria Tonazzini awarded with a Marie Curie Grant! Congratulations!!

News
Dott.ssa Ilaria Tonazzini just got a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship 2017 with her project “NEUROGUIDE” (Study of neuronal sensing and migration/guidance dynamics in neurodevelopmental disorders by nano-engineered chips). Ilaria will develop her project in the laboratory of Prof. Ype Elgersma at the Department of Neuroscience, Erasmus Medical Center (EMC) in Rotterdam (NL), and in collaboration with CNRnano and the Neurosens group. The project is focused on the study of neuronal sensing and migration in models of neurodevelopmental disorders, at both system and molecular level, in vivo and in vitro, with a multidisciplinary approach that combines molecular biology, micro/nano-engineered devices and state-of-the-art fluorescence microscopy. A Facebook page (Neuroguide) will be available soon and updated with info and news.
