We often have open positions at different levels, from master/bachelor thesis to grants for graduate school students (either at Scuola Normale Superiore or University of Pisa) and junior and senior post-doctoral fellowships.

Some history & where to find us

NEST Lab. is in Pisa, Italy. It is currently hosted in the very same building where Napoleon funded the italian branch of Ecòle Normal Supérieure (Scuola Normale Superiore) in 1862. After Scuola Normale moved its main headquarter in the prestigious Piazza Dei Cavalieri, the building was almost forgotten until 2002, when NEST Lab. transfered its facilities there. It is currently comprised by three research institutes (Scuola Normale, CNR-Nano, Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia) with tight collaborations with University of Pisa and Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna. Its facilities include a 1000 square meter office and lab spaces, including a 400 square meter clean-room of class ISO 6 and ISO 7. THz photonics, quantum electronic transport, superconductivity and low-dimensional materials growth have characterized the institute main research lines with milestone results achieved in the years. More recently biosensing and neuroscience research lines have enriched the laboratory activities.
